Tanzania Digital Awards 2024
Tanzania Digital Awards aims to celebrate individuals and organizations leveraging digital technologies to catalyze creative and innovative endeavours, inspiring action and driving meaningful change within and beyond the digital sphere. This initiative seeks to recognize those who harness digital platforms and technologies to foster lasting impact.
As a pivotal initiative of advancing Digital Transformation in Tanzania, Serengeti Bytes, in partnership with COSTECH and UNDP Funguo Programme, proudly presents Tanzania Digital Awards 2024. This prestigious event is held in conjunction with Innovation Week 2024, symbolizing our collective commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the digital landscape.
Innovation Week regional events such as exhibitions, workshops, conferences, policy dialogues, product and projects launch, virtual events, radio and TV programmes about innovation, etc, will take place all over the country between May 1st to May 20th.
In Dar es Salaam, IWTz2024 activities will take place from May 21st to May 24th at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JINCC). This year’s Innovation Week will run under the theme “Innovation for a Competitive Economy” or “Ubunifu kwa Uchumi Shindani” in Kiswahili.
For Dar es Salaam region, events will start one week before the grand event in Dodoma ie. one week before the 15th of May, 2022
In places other than Dar es Salaam, the coordination will be led by local innovation ecosystem players such as innovation hubs, in partnership with Community Development Officers, academic institutions and other organizations willing to partner with them. The platform will of course be open for any stakeholder to organize and run an event during the dates that will be communicated by relevant coordinating bodies. The content will be designed and driven to align with the theme and relevance to the local context.
