Since 2015

About Innovation Week Tanzania

Innovation Week Tanzania (IWTz) is the country's leading platform for catalysing innovation-driven development. Since 2015 it has brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, corporates, development partners, investors and youth to showcase home-grown ingenuity, forge partnerships and address the policy bottlenecks that matter.

Why now

Business as usual no longer has a place.

In today's fast-paced, technology-driven development environment, innovation has become the central ingredient of every intervention and business activity. New business models, digital infrastructure, green solutions, youth-led entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaboration are already fuelling faster growth, quality jobs at scale and climate resilience.

Dira 2050 calls Tanzania toward a specific destination. Translating that vision into tangible value demands that innovation and technology become not optional enhancers but the central engines of the next phase of national development. Innovation Week is where the ecosystem aligns around that task.
