In brief

Across five days the programme asked a direct question: what must change in government, finance, education, technology and enterprise if Tanzania is to become an inclusive, competitive and upper-middle-income economy by 2050?

The consistent answer was that Tanzania does not lack ideas. The harder task is building systems that can carry those ideas from experimentation to adoption and scale. Speakers called for innovation to move from the margins of projects into public planning, procurement, regulation, education, investment and service delivery.
